We Are Here To Help You

Helderberg C.A.R.E.S. is our drop-in centre providing services to reduce the health and social harms of problematic alcohol and drug use.

We provide:

Evidence-based and research-supported information and education.
Case work and case management services
Risk assessment and immediate needs analysis
Access to primary health care services, including mental health services
Access to family services
Brief intervention
The 16-week The MATRIX Model intensive, outpatient treatment programme
Harm reduction services

Treatment Process:

Screening
Assessment Services
Outpatient treatment services
Referral to detox and inpatient centres when required
Follow-up and aftercare services

Treatment Consists of:

For a minimum of 16 continuous weeks, the Matrix Model Outpatient Programme includes:

Individual / conjoint sessions
Early recovery skills group sessions
Relapse prevention group sessions
Urine analysis
Family Services and Education Sessions
Social support sessions
Support group meetings
Follow-up sessions
